Actional Control Broker Integrates, but It's Not Middleware as We Know It

LONDON--Actional Corp. is making a big push into the European market with its integration software called Control Broker, a technology that turns any extensible application into an integration hub.
But Paul Brennan, European vice president of Actional, stresses that Control Broker is not middleware. "We don't change any of the back end, [and] we don't supply business processes or a messaging layer."
Control Broker is actually a series of adapters written in C++ and that are standards-based
