CBOT:Power Failure Halted Trading

CHICAGO--The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) suspended trading activity on Thursday July 10 between 10:25 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. local time, due to a "power anomaly" that disabled a Cisco Systems switch supporting the exchange’s order routing system, say CBOT officials who spoke last week.
The malfunction occurred in a closet at CBOT’s trading facility, says chief information officer (CIO) Bill Farrow.
