SWIFT DEADLINE LOOMS FOR FINAL FEW

Financial messaging network provider Swift has warned financial institutions still using old messaging standards that they face heavy charges over the coming six weeks if they continue to do so. Swift officials says that 99.5 percent of securities traffic is now using the new ISO 15022 messaging standard introduced by Swift in November last year to replace the previous ISO 7775 standard (TTW, November 18, 2002). Firms not ready to use the new standard at launch
