Deutsche: Zero Intervention = T+0

SPECIAL REPORT

LONDON--Deutsche Bank is aiming for "zero intervention processing" in the quest for T+0 and has implemented a proprietary settlement platform called E-Spear in London to achieve that goal. The bank is in the process of rolling E-Spear out in New York.

"We’re looking toward T+0 settlement ultimately. If you’re settling in America on T+1, and Tokyo’s eight hours ahead of London, then Tokyo is settling the same day--or T+0," Mitchel Lenson, global head of technology and operations for Deutsche Bank
