GSTP Rivals Move In to Fill VMU Void

NEW YORK--Virtual matching utility (VMU) vendors Financial Models Co. (FMC), Omgeo and SunGard are vying to fill the void left by the collapse of the GSTP last month--despite the industry’s current lukewarm attitude toward central matching (TTW, Nov. 25).

Omgeo’s Central Trade Manager (CTM) is at the moment the only central matching utility with live clients. But FMC, based in Mississauga, Ont., is readying the FMCNet 2 solution to provide central and two-way matching for the US market early next
