Nyfix Banks on Cross-Market Needs

NEW YORK—Trading systems and connectivity vendor Nyfix is banking its order management system (OMS) future on the need for cross-asset, cross-market trading systems at user firms and has reinforced this strategy by upping its ownership stake in Renaissance Trading Technologies (RTT) from 18 to 100 percent, say officials who outlined their strategy last week.

Nyfix plans to use its routing network and the combined “Platinum” OMS to go up against SunGard Brass, Royablue Fidessa, and Lava Trading
