A group of Japanese foreign exchange brokers and banks expects to form a joint venture within the next few weeks to develop a second potential rival to Reuters Holdings PLC's Dealing 2000-2 order-matching system for the interbank foreign exchange market. The planned system -- dubbed Mine -- also has the backing of Japanese telecommunications giant Kokusai Denishin Denwa (KDD).
