BOTCC Mulls Building Its Own VPN

EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES

CHICAGO--The Board of Trade Clearing Corp. (BOTCC) is seriously considering building its own virtual private network (VPN) next year to carry trades into its clearing system from electronic and open-outcry exchanges, officials say.

The move to a VPN coincides with its recent clearing agreement to work with German derivatives exchange Eurex, slated to set up a US derivatives exchange
