Bankers Trust Fund Management Australia (BTFM) is in the midst of an organisation-wide IT project that will result in the introduction of a private, TCP/IP-based intranet, and the installation of Microsoft's Windows NT network operating system and Netscape's Navigator Web browser on end-user desktop PCs. Once this infrastructure is in place, BTFM has further plans to deploy a number of Java-based systems and applications.
For one, the firm currently has a project under way to develop a GUI
