Nasdaq Europe Drafts Its Own Supermontage

LONDON--Nasdaq Europe is planning to ditch its current Tibco-based European Trading System (ETS) in the third quarter and adopt a European version of the Supermontage system being developed by Nasdaq in the US for launch this summer.

Supermontage, Nasdaq’s electronic hybrid market-maker and order-driven trading model, will replace Nasdaq Europe’s current ETS system, which was only adopted in June last year. ETS was a leftover from troubled Belgium-based Easdaq, which Nasdaq Europe took control of
