Argentina’s MAE Racks Up Sales, Partners with IBM, Microsoft

BUENOS AIRES--Argentina’s Electronic Open Market (Mercado Abierto Electrónico, or MAE) bond exchange has recently sold its SIOPEL (Sistema de Operaciones Electrónicas, or Electronic Operations System) system to two neighboring exchanges and is seeking more business through partnerships with IBM and Microsoft.
SIOPEL was sold to the Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F) in Sao Paolo four months ago and the Mercado Valores de Littoral (MVL) regional exchange in northern Argentina two weeks
