Blackwood Files For Chapter 11, Reorganizes and Tries to Sell off Trading Technology

NEW YORK--Blackwood Trading, a proprietary stock trading firm and direct-access technology vendor, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 30 and is in the process of selling off its equity order-routing and trading technology. It is possible that the company’s financial woes, which were first reported in Trading Technology Week earlier this year (TTW, Feb. 18), may have been compounded by technology problems.
