OTA's Draft Report On Market Technology Condemned By Irate Exchange Officials

The Office of Technology Assessment has agreed to revise a draft of its report on Securities Markets and Information Technology in response to an onslaught of criticism from an advisory panel during a day-long meeting in Washington last week.

The panel of academics, exchange officials and securities industry executives relentlessly assailed the report's factual errors, unsubstantiated arguments, unbalanced perspective and harsh language.
