LSE to Overhaul SETS
FRONT PAGE: EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES
LONDON—The London Stock Exchange (LSE) plans to retire its legacy SETS (Stock Exchange Trading Service) technologies and migrate onto an entirely new platform, David Lester, CIO for the LSE, tells DWT.
The project marks the finale of the exchange’s technology refresh roadmap, which began at the beginning of 2003 and is due to finish in early 2007.
The news of the SETS overhaul comes as the LSE executives reject for a second time an aggressive bid by the German stock exchange operator Deutsche
