Dell Computer, a PC provider to many trading rooms, is making an effort to boost its enterprise-wide prowess with a recent deal with IBM. The agreement gives Dell access to IBM's research and development operations and provides Big Blue with the chance to take advantage of Dell's much-ballyhooed manufacturing and distribution strengths.
