Reuters America Revamps for Down Market

NEW YORK--Reuters America (RAM) has taken a fresh look at key offerings, implemented a hiring freeze, realigned its sales force and bolstered customer relations in a bid to weather a down economy, according to a memo written by CEO of Reuters America (RAM) Phil Lynch and obtained last week by TTW.

In the Nov. 13 memo, Lynch details RAM’s recent layoff of 150 staffers (TTW, Nov. 25), and outlines several other major steps. Reuters officials decline to comment on the memo.
