The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (Liffe) finally pulled out of negotiations to join the Globex after-hours futures trading system earlier this month. Its decision came as a blow to the newly restructured Globex Consortium -- but the bad tidings were alleviated by positive news from Frankfurt's Deutsche Terminborse (DTB); the DTB's board voted to join Globex May 19, a mere two days after Liffe's refusal.
