OM Group Fails To Meet Kofex's Deadline For AIX Version Of OM Clearing System

SEOUL--Stockholm-based OM Group (OM Gruppen) will not be able to deliver a port of its clearing system to the organization that is planning the launch of the Korea Futures Exchange (Kofex).

Instead, in November the Kofex group will take delivery of trading and clearing systems that run under the OpenVMS operating system and Alpha hardware from Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). Digital is now a division of Compaq Computer.

Kofex signed a $5.8 million licensing and delivery contract last month
