CBOE, CBOT in Technology Alliance
EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES
CHICAGO--The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) will license technology from the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), representing unprecedented sharing between two rival derivatives exchanges.
The CBOE will license its CBOE Direct software platform to the CBOT, as well as provide installation and training seminars. The agreement is effective Sept. 10 and work has already begun. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The license will comprise the elimination of paper on the trading floor
