Central Bank Of The South Links Some 75 Users With Act Citydesk

MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY

Birmingham, Ala.-based Central Bank of the South has gone digital. Last month the bank installed its first digital data distribution system, cutting over to ACT Financial Systems Inc.'s Citydesk version 2.1. The new system replaced an eight-year-old Reuters/Rich Inc. video switch.

The bank is running Citydesk on Microsoft Corp. Windows- based 486 Gateway 2000 microprocessors. The new platform supports about 15 fixed-income traders and 50 sales staff, as well as ten executives at Central Bank
