HKEx Debuts IP-Based Network

HONG KONG—The first set of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd.'s (HKEx) participants will begin trading, clearing and price reporting on a consolidated, IP-enabled network, dubbed the SDNet network, on Monday, Oct. 10, officials say.

HKEx began implementing SDNet, an optical Ethernet network, earlier this year in a move to a more cost-effective network infrastructure, officials say.
