DEALING ROOM SYSTEMS

Standard Chartered Bank is in the midst of an ambitious drive to expand its dealing centres and standardise its systems infrastructure across Asia outside Japan. Last week, the bank's IT staff brought a new 24-position dealing room in Manila on-line. A week earlier, front-office staff in Bangkok moved into a new 32-position dealing room. Standard Chartered also plans to expand its Singapore dealing centre, expecting to christen a new 100-position room in the city-state during 1997's second
