Instinet's CEO Named Chairman Of Reuters America

Michael Sanderson -- the chief executive officer of Instinet Corp. and an outsider to Reuters' mainline hierarchy -- has been named chairman of Reuters America Holdings Inc., effective Jan. 1. The move comes as Reuters America's profitability, although improving, still lags that of Reuters Asia and Reuters Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Sanderson, who will continue as CEO of the growing-like- gangbusters Instinet, will report in both roles to Andre Villeneuve, executive director of Reuters
