Regional Brokerage Mesirow Gets A Big Break From Quotron On A Small Renewal

Chicago-based brokerage and clearing firm Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc. has renewed a 65-position quote terminal contract with Quotron Systems Inc. The three-year deal, which takes effect retroactively from October of last year, cuts Mesirow's monthly Quotron bill by about 50 percent.
"I was very pleased -- quite shocked too -- about how cooperative Quotron was," says Lawrence Williams, senior vice president of information systems at Mesirow, of his negotiations with the firm's incumbent vendor
