Starting about six years ago, International Trading Room Systems (ITRS) began reinventing itself. The journey got a boost from Reuters when it acquired trading room systems specialist MarketNet in 1999 (Trading Technology Week, June 14, 1999). ITRS had an exclusive distribution agreement with MarketNet, which resold the ITRS NetAgent network monitoring system for Triarch in the U.S. MarketNet paid ITRS $1 million to free itself from the arrangement prior to the Reuters takeover.
