UBS Invests in India

UBS has invested an additional 50 million Swiss francs ($40 million) in its Hyderabad, India back office, a project which began in July 2005. The funds will go toward "infrastructure, management and IT costs," says Seth Cohen, head of group offshoring for UBS. According to press reports, the Swiss investment bank has already recruited 180 employees for the office and expects to employ 500 to 600 workers by the end of this year.
