AFA to Add Options Analytics

Vendor officials considered designing the pre- and post-trade analytics layer internally. However, AFA decided to integrate with a third-party firm instead, according to Patrick Lynch, CEO of AFA.

Using a third-party provider's products would increase the speed to market for the options analytics capabilities, Lynch says, adding that it is more likely than not that AFA will adopt a vendor's offering rather than build a proprietary system.

According to Lynch, AFA has narrowed its choices to two
