FPL Prepares Latency Working Group Launch

The decision to form the group was made at a recent annual FPL global steering committee strategy meeting, according to officials.

One of the challenges identified is measuring latency and how the information is obtained from both ends of a system, explains an FPL spokesperson. FPL officials say it is hard to take latency information from many disparate systems in disparate formats and compile meaningful numbers about where the time is being spent.
