NEW YORK—Hurricane Katrina, the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the 2003 blackout in the Northeast highlight the need for business continuity sites, and entrepreneurs in northeastern Pennsylvania are looking to make the region the next hotspot for Wall Street backup facilities, DWT has learned.

As a result of the Sept. 11 attacks, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other government agencies recommended that all Wall Street firms move their backup
