ABN Amro Goes IP for Dante

In June 2000, ABN Amro launched Project Dante: Dealing and New Technology Evaluation. The project looked at alternative ways of delivering market data that would reduce reliance on the expensive products provided by Bloomberg and Reuters, the Dutch bank’s major suppliers.

The six-month project resulted in the rollout of less expensive, IP-delivered market data systems firmwide. ABN Amro will not specify what savings will result but says it should be
