New York City-based Fischer Francis Trees & Watts has joined with Thomson Financial Services Inc. and Salomon Brothers Inc. to promote the use of electronic trade confirmation (ETC) systems among U.S. fixed-income investment managers. Fischer Francis opted to join in this venture following its 18-month pilot-test of Thomson's Oasys system, which is developed and marketed by the vendor's Electronic Settlements Group (ESG); that test was aimed at evaluating the fixed-income electronic trade
