Barra's Symphony To Run Bear Stearns Mutual Fund

San Francisco-based Symphony Asset Management, the newly launched and wholly-owned investment management subsidiary of Barra Inc., has entered an agreement with Bear Stearns & Co. under which Symphony will act as sub-advisor to a new Bear Stearns mutual fund. In the deal, Symphony will manage what the Bear Stearns Asset Management unit has dubbed The Insiders Portfolio using what Symphony has dubbed The Informed Agent Model--a Symphony-proprietary model which Barra began developing more than two
