US hedge funds now trading on Savvis-Firefly exchange

HERNDON, VA -- Seven US-based hedge funds are trading on the Savvis-hosted Firefly-ATX Institutional Trading Exchange, which went live on August 15. Boston-based Firefly Capital and Savvis Communications in Herndon, Virginia concluded alliance discussions in early August, shortly before the Firefly-ATX platform -- a trade execution and order management system, hosted in Savvis's St Louis data center -- went live. The ATX platform had been tested in Firefly's development center in Florida.
