Customer CarePush Causes Reuters Layoffs

NEW YORK--Reuters has created a customer care group that has led to the layoff of five employees in the Reuters Professional Services Group (PSG).

The new Reuters America (RAM) Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC) to come has caused Reuters to consolidate positions in the PSG, which includes staff from the former Reuters Consulting department.

As such, Reuters chose to lay off two positions in New York, one in San Francisco, one in Toronto and one in Chicago, according to an industry source.
