RMDS on Linux Due in Weeks

NEW YORK--The Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) port to the Linux operating system is due "within weeks," say officials attached to the project, who spoke at last week’s Linux World conference in New York.
Casey Merkey, product manager for front-office solutions at Reuters, says the first wave of beta "core" tests of RMDS is almost complete, and that a client is testing the system on a production network. The "core" beta wave features source distribution, Reuters TSA Information Clusters (RTICs)
