SunGard Bolstered by 2002 Acquisitions

WAYNE, Penn.--SunGard reported positive financials last week, but analysts were quick to point out that, stripped of the acquired companies’ revenues, SunGard’s "organic" revenue increase for 2002 was only 1 percent for the year, and the company’s revenue actually decreased 1 percent during the last quarter of 2002 compared to Q4 2001.
SunGard reported $326 million in net income for the full year of 2002, a 32 percent increase over 2001, officials say. Revenue was $2.6 billion, up 31 percent over
