Nyfix Revs Up Javelin Appia for Linux-Intel

NEW YORK--At the request of major user firms, Nyfix sought to develop a fast version of its Javelin Appia FIX engine for the Intel-Linux environment, and as a result, has increased Appia’s performance fivefold, officials say.

Nyfix has been responsible for the adaptation and enhancement of Appia since its acquisition of Javelin Technologies in March 2002 (TTW, March 18, 2002). The recent performance benchmark results accompany this week’s release of Appia 3.1.
