Newedge Consolidates U.S. Operations
The combination is a step in the process of integrating the brokerage activities of Société Générale (SocGen) and Calyon Financial, which formed Newedge (DWT, Jan. 7).
Newedge USA is the culmination of the merger of the legacy broker-dealer structures that existed in the two separate firms, according to Jean-Luc Savignac, Newedge's newly appointed COO for the Americas unit (DWT, July 28).
