Cognotec Beats Reuters, AVT; Wins FX Week Award Again

LONDON--In what is possibly the fastest moving side of the foreign exchange (FX) industry, one constant remains: Dublin-based Cognotec won the award for best automated dealing technology for the fifth year running, beating competition from newly merged rivals Reuters and AVT Technologies.

The award is part of an annual awards event of sibling publication FX Week.

Reuters and AVT--last year in second and third place respectively--merged in December 2002, when the U.K.-based market data and news
