The most provocative exhibit was an expert system for foreign exchange dealing room management. The system assesses the riskiness of an FX dealer's performance on a trade-by-trade basis and offers advice just as a dealing room manager might.

While traders can be an adventurous lot not always apt to heed such advice, a more forceful implementation of the system could deny dealers the option of in one ear and out the other.
