Miscommunication: Bloomberg, Symphony and the Messaging Fight

Anthony Malakian speaks with industry participants to see how the messaging space has evolved and whether Symphony-or Bloomberg-have cause for concern.

Symphony was created last fall after a consortium of 14 institutions invested $66 million to buy Perzo. The Palo Alto-based vendor went live with its flagship product on August 3 this year.

On July 13, 2015, a colleague and I walked the 20 minutes from Incisive Media's downtown Manhattan offices to One World Trade Center. What's often still referred to as the Freedom Tower is now home to many businesses, some of which are giants ─ like Condé Nast ─ while others simply take up one corner of a floor, like Symphony Communication Services.
