Data Issues Continue to Plague Regulatory Compliance and Technology

Waters USA panelists said good regulatory technology exists but is useless without good data.

The panelists said it doesn't matter how good the technology to address regulatory demands is; if the data used to generate reports is not good enough, then it's a much bigger problem.

Joseph Lodato, managing director and global head of compliance technology and surveillance at Guggenheim Partners, said technology problems that firms face will not come to the forefront until data issues—like accuracy and locating the information—are solved.
