To distinguish themselves from the crowd, some asset managers are turning to behavioral science and psychology to help investors make better decisions by using insights and pattern data derived from an individual’s behavior.
Jing Wang is the head of the Center for Analytics and Insights at Vanguard. The firm started investing in applied behavioral sciences about two years ago. Equipped initially with a skeleton team and an antiquated technology stack, today, the center has more than 100 members
