American Financial Technology Awards 2016 ─ All the Winners
At a dinner held in midtown Manhattan on Dec. 5, the winners of this year's AFTAs were announced.
The marketplace has changed. The ability to pull in and store massive data sets, and then to deliver that information via the cloud, has led banks and asset managers of all stripes to partner with third parties on projects that would've in the past been built in-house.
Part of the reason for this is because they've become more comfortable using cloud-based technologies, and even public clouds like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure. Another reason is cost, as budgets have been down or flat since 2008. There's also the need to be agile in the face of a rapidly changing marketplace. And, finally, regulatory-reporting-related burdens are more easily handled with outside help, rather than trying to go it alone for each new mandate.
There's a great deal of value in that sea of information, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to find those insights. Partnering helps. Quite frankly, the world of fintech has become more intertwined between end users and vendors, and this awards program aims to show how the market is evolving.
We are pleased to announce this year's winners:
