Buy-Side Technology Awards 2016: Best Buy-Side CRM Platform—Satuit Technologies

Satuit Technologies joins the winner's circle for the first time for its SatuitCRM platform.

Dedicated to the buy side since its inception in 1994 by a team of asset management veterans, Massachusetts-based Satuit Technologies has developed a solution that delivers both the essential functionality of a CRM platform and meets the specific requirements of the asset management industry, supporting five primary processes: compliance, sales and marketing, consultant relations, client retention, and client communications. Asset management client relationships have evolved in recent years in terms of scope and complexity to a multi-tiered dynamic, with clients demanding timely and accurate information from their fund managers. SatuitCRM has built on its collective industry insight and experience to offer a complete front-office CRM platform that can be delivered either as a hosted (SaaS) application or rolled out in a more traditional on-premises fashion, to keep pace with client demand in terms of delivery mechanism and functionality.

Those significant elements to the buy side are approached head-on by SatuitCRM. Integration with Microsoft Outlook, enabling users to track all of the key touch-points with clients, facilitating the sharing of documents, and the ability to send out “blast mails,” have all been acknowledged and added to the platform’s capabilities. Integration with the back office is also an important element for efficient CRM and Satuit provides a centralized point for everything that touches the client.

Advanced data and analytics now play a vital role in efficient customer relationship management and this is where Satuit’s foundational, industry-specific data model shines, with capabilities built on top of it for integration, analytics, reporting and visualization. The visualization tools and dashboards allow decision-makers to visualize and analyze key metrics; a new investor portal allows users to distribute data and accrue benefits in terms of communication, brand and compliance; and data integration initiatives, which for many clients means SatuitCRM acts as central data hub for all documents, activities, sales and account information, are now also part of the platform.

Security and data protection have also been a keen focal point for the vendor over the past 12 months: Satuit has moved to state-of-the-art datacenters located in Canada; it has appointed a dedicated full-time chief security officer; and has further strengthened its security organization, processes and technology.

Integration with the back office is also an important element for efficient CRM and Satuit provides a centralized point for everything that touches the client.
