While there is still some confusion surrounding what exactly constitutes a private cloud, ECI has built a robust, flexible, and secure infrastructure for hosted solutions focusing on alternative asset management firms, overseen by its end-to-end monitoring and maintenance operations. As some firms come to market with hastily assembled cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ECI has dedicated its efforts over the past decade at a time when regulatory scrutiny and investor diligence demands for cloud infrastructure services have never been greater.

The Eze Private Cloud comprises several elements that form an enterprise-wide cloud offering. The firm’s Managed Suite is the core of the solution, featuring a fully managed collection of file services, email access via Microsoft Exchange, software applications including Microsoft Office, mobile services, security, disaster recovery, unified communications, enterprise collaboration tools, and 24x7x365 support, with a dedicated slant for hedge funds and alternative investment firms. The Eze Managed Infrastructure is an enterprise-grade private environment designed to reduce expenditure on hardware and upgrades, monitoring and maintenance, while Eze Disaster Recovery is a disaster recovery platform that has been in operation since 2006, providing contingency support for outages through an “active-active” model that allows for “recover-point objects” of seconds and features 24x7 monitoring. Finally, Eze Voice, which was rolled out to the UK in October last year in response to the changing regulatory landscape, simplifies communications and collaboration processes across multiple sites and regions.

Security is also a key element for cloud networks. The Eze Private Cloud is replete with its own security functions covering intrusion detection and prevention, further augmented by the addition of Eze Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), which can be plugged into the system to provide an end-to-end security solution at the client office level.

The differentiator that separates ECI’s offering from other private cloud infrastructures is its understanding of the changing needs of the alternative asset management space. As the need for flexibility grows, ECI continues to add new partners and applications to its cloud service, offering Cisco, NetApp, and VMware among its technologies, while also providing software leasing services from a range of vendors including VMware, Microsoft, CA, and Citrix.

As some firms come to market with hastily assembled cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ECI has dedicated its efforts over the past decade at a time when regulatory scrutiny and investor diligence demands for cloud infrastructure services have never been greater.
