LEI: Looking for the Horizon -- Webcast
This webinar is no longer available.
In recent months, several nuts and bolts have been fitted into place for implementation of the legal entity identifier (LEI). These have included new leadership at the Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF), publication of a common file format and setting fees to fund the central operating unit that will administer LEIs. Have these events brought LEI implementation closer to its final horizons? Panelists on this webcast will answer that question while uncovering what work remains to be done for a complete LEI system.
Topics covered include:
--Are the pieces of the LEI system indeed falling into place and fitting properly, with the file format and fees being set?
--Is the industry any closer to seeing residual benefits from LEI implementation?
--Has the naming of local operating units (LOU) proceeded at an appropriate pace? Should there be a greater push to get more LOUs on board?
--Has it become easier or more efficient to onboard clients onto the LEI?
--Is there enough industry-wide support for LEI implementation to see it through to completion? Will it require further regulatory action?
