Paris-based BRED Banque Populaire extends its partnership with SunGard's Valdi Market Access.

The hosted application will allow the banque to scale down its operational cost structure.

"We recently decided to extend the reach of our memberships to cover Euronext's equities' markets, beyond our original derivatives market access franchise," says Patrick Lixi, head of project management, at BRED. "SunGard gave us the possibility to manage our total cost of operations and the potential to expand to new markets quickly and effortlessly."

The Valdi suite of solutions gives access to most European financial markets, covering multiple assets classes, including equities, fixed income, structured products, commodities, futures and options.
