Madrid-based Interdin Bolsa connects to Bats Chi-X Europe via SunGard Valdi.

The Spanish securities market is currently experiencing significant change, meaning that brokers like Interdin Bolsa that want to access pan-European trading venues are on the lookout for market access providers.

SunGard’s Valdi Market Access hosted solution, which provides access to 140 electronic equity, fixed income and derivatives markets worldwide via a suite of products and managed services, will give Interdin’s clients full access to Spanish stocks on several venues.

“The changes in Spain on the distribution of trading volumes and the eruption of market fragmentation have made a substantial impact,” says Oscar Sierra, Interdin’s head of prime brokerage. “At Interdin Bolsa, we see these changes as a great opportunity and our membership of BATS Chi-X Europe as a crucial differentiator to offer a better service to our clients. We selected SunGard for its outsourcing capabilities and also for its expansion versatility to cover our future requirements.”
