The broker is using GBST's system for a wide variety of middle-office tasks.

The firm will use Syn~ as a pre-settlement engine, with real-time commission management and dynamic modeling, along with allocations, netting and trade compression, as well as other automated capabilities. The implementation took 12 months to complete, and the platform is capable of handling mobile display.

"The Raymond James implementation was very important to GBST and our objectives in the North American market, proving our experience and capability in delivering a quality solution in the US," says Denis Orrock, head of capital markets at GBST. "As we continue to build resources and support in the US, we are confident that GBST Syn~ will grow to become the leading next generation solution for middle and back office processing."
